Audiences Northern Ireland is a charity focusing on audience development across Northern Ireland.

Growing a relationship with audiences is vital to the success of every arts, culture and heritage organisation, so Audiences NI wants to open up access to data and insight to as many groups as possible.

We understand that all cultural organisations are at very different stages in their audience development journey – therefore we offer support on a number of levels to match the organisation we are working with.

We offer all cultural organisations free access to basic level insight and intelligence to help them maximise their audience - while for larger organisations, bespoke programmes can be delivered to target specific groups or widen their reach.

Through improving understanding of audience development, providing insight about audiences to enable organisations to act, and skills development – we can better equip arts, culture and heritage organisations to develop their audience.

What is Audience Development?

Audience development describes activity undertaken to meet the needs of existing and potential audiences, and to develop ongoing relationships. It can include marketing, commissioning, programming, education and customer care. As an ethos, audience development puts the audience at the heart of everything it does.
