Getting Your Message Across
Learn To Communicate More Effectively
Getting Your Message Across
with Andrea Montgomery
Wednesday 28 November, 10am – 4.30pm
Waterfront Hall, Belfast
How you communicate with other people is much more than what you say. The way you hold yourself, your tone of voice, your eye movement and other non verbal signals are all contributing to how your message is being received, and therefore how effective it is. Whether you’re pitching to a potential sponsor, delivering a presentation or simply communicating with colleagues, being aware of, and being able to control, the impression you make is vital.
To book your place, contact Chris Palmer on 028 9043 6481 or email chris.palmer@audiencesni.com. Download our full 07/08 Training Programme here.
This session, delivered by Andrea Montgomery, will look at practical skills to help you feel more confident, create a positive impression and communicate more effectively. It will also help you to read other people’s signals empathetically and understand how to tailor your communication appropriately.
By the end of the day you’ll have a greater insight into your natural communication style and will go away with practical tools and techniques to get your message across.
Who is it for? If you’ve ever felt less than confident at important meetings or wonder how other people seem to get more of a response, this workshop is for you. Or, if you already feel pretty confident, but want to enhance your existing skills and develop empathy with others, you’ll also benefit from this workshop.
What will I learn?
- Awareness of your personal communication style
- Why first impressions are so important
- Develop active listening skills
- Understand and interpret non-verbal communication skills
- Develop and understand verbal & non-verbal connection building skills
- Discover the foundation for good vocal skills
