Creating Futures Reimagining the Arts

Arts and Business NI have launched the Creating Futures programme which aims to provide senior managers with an opportunity to work towards a Postgraduate Certificate in Executive Leadership.

The initiative is supported by the Arts Council of Northern Ireland and is delivered by the Ulster Business School at the University of Ulster.  Those who register for the course will attend three formal University modules, a UK Learning Experience to Liverpool & Edinburgh, a governance master-class, business planning master-classes and peer-to-peer support through Action Learning Sets. The arts managers will also have mentor support to develop a business plan and fundraising strategy by Autumn 2012.

This unique programme for Northern Ireland, which is the equivalent of one thirds of a MSc, aims to support arts managers and fundraisers to plan their own routes to Creating, Leading, and Fundraising for the Future.  In these unpredictable times it is necessary to foster resilience, to scenario plan multiple possibilities for the future, and to have a strategic response ready.
