CHIEF EXECUTIVE: Steven Hadley

 Steven was appointed CEO of Audiences NI in June 2007. An experienced arts marketer, Steven has over 15 years of experience in roles covering audience development, marketing, press, Box Office and project management. He has worked in venues ranging from a small regional arts centre to a classical concert hall, as well as freelance work for a classical music management company. Steven is responsible for the strategic direction of the agency, and for leading and developing all areas of business activity. He was a Board Member of both Moving on Music and the Arts Marketing Association for six years, and is currently a Director of Audiences UK. Steven holds an MA (Distinction) in Media and Cultural Studies, an Advanced Diploma (Distinction) in Management Practice, is a Fellow of the Chartered Management Institute and has an MBA (Distinction) from QUB.

RESEARCH OFFICER: Chris Palmer

Chris has been with the Agency since 2004 and is responsible for audience profiling and research. This involves designing and delivering research projects on behalf of members, analysing box office data and producing a range of reports on arts attendance generally across Northern Ireland, which includes Audiences NI’s annual publication The Audience Review. Chris also runs the Black Book benchmarking project for users of the Patron Edge and Enta box office systems and produces the monthly Classical Arts NI e-newsletter.

He has a BSocSci in Politics from the University Of Manchester, a Diploma In Management and is currently studying for his Diploma in Market Research. In his spare time, he is also an amateur actor and director with South Bank Playhouse.

MARKETING OFFICER: Sara Gunn (On Maternity Leave)

Sara joined the Agency in 2009 and assists with member account management, marketing and communications for the agency, PR and marketing for projects such as Test Drive the Arts NI, project and event management and ensuring the delivery of quality services to members. Sara is also responsible for the agency's e-marketing services, as well as the compilation and distribution of the agency's newsletters and Classical Arts listings.

FINANCE OFFICER: Victoria Taggart

Vikkie joined the Agency in 2006 and is responsible for managing all the agency’s financial processes, preparing budget reports for officers and the CEO, and additionally deals with general enquiries and undertaking administration duties. Victoria works closely with the CEO, Board & Staff team, as well as government bodies and auditors, and has responsibility in guaranteeing the maintenance of all necessary financial records, fulfilling all submissions of statutory returns, declarations and funding submissions to the necessary authorities. Alongside her role at Audiences NI, Victoria is also a member of the Audience NI Audit & Risk committee and is currently a member of I.A.T.I.  Victoria is also a board member of Moving on Music.

AUDIENCE DEVELOPMENT ASSISTANT: Karen O'Rawe

Karen joined the Agency in 2010 and has ten years of experience in the NI Arts scene in various roles at the Old Museum Arts Centre, Ransom and Stray Dawg Productions.

Karen is responsible for the management of the Test Drive the Arts NI project.  Karen recruits new Test Drive participants, liaises with current venues, theatre companies, festivals and developers, maintains the Test Drive website and manages event listings and ticket allocations.  Karen deals directly with Test Driver enquiries, organises survey prize draws and keeps accurate records for the project.  Karen also acts as ‘Social Media Gatekeeper’, managing the Facebook and Twitter accounts for both Test Drive the Arts NI and Audiences NI.  Karen acts as event manager for the Audiences NI Annual Conference and assists with training event management, communications and membership management.

Karen was recently awarded a first-class Honours BA in History and holds a Diploma in Classical Studies.  Karen is a part time genealogist and transcriber of historical records for family history purposes and is a member of the Ulster Genealogical & Historical Guild.  In her spare time she enjoys reading, theatre, family history and jogging.

TEMPORARY MARKETING OFFICER: Catriona Holmes

Catriona holds a BSc Hons degree in Communication Studies from the University of Ulster and is a fellow of the Society of Antiquaries of Scotland. 

She has joined the Agency May 2011 as temporary marketing officer to cover maternity leave.  She is responsible for PR and marketing of the Agency's projects including Test Drive the Arts NI, project and event management and ensuring the delivery of quality services to members and is also responsible for the e-marketing service that we provide to our members.

TEMPORARY FINANCE OFFICER: Clare Forker

Clare joined the Agency in December 2011 as a temporary Finance Officer to cover maternity leave and is responsible for managing all the agency’s financial processes, preparing budget reports for officers and the CEO as well as handling general enquiries and administration.

Clare works closely with the CEO, Board & Staff team, as well as government bodies and auditors, and has responsibility in guaranteeing the maintenance of all necessary financial records, fulfilling all submissions of statutory returns, declarations and funding submissions to the necessary authorities. Clare holds a BA from UCC and a Grad Dip in Educational Administration from Melbourne University.  She has worked in Finance roles for the past 10 years and is a member of I.A.T.I.
